 TATAMAGOUCHE - Featured village in The Week The Women Went, Season Two

  Welcome to our community based website - developed, maintained & updated by the North Shore Community Development Association with the invaluable assistance and guidance of C@P (Community Access Program) http://www.nscap.ca/. In the Upper Level at the North Shore Business Centre (NSCDA) building, you will find a wonderful computer lab equiped with nine public access C@P computers and a printer. This C@P site lab and NSCDA Office are open Monday - Thursday from 9:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.  (Please have a look at our Businesses & Organizations pages for more info on this & other programs offered locally, as well as other C@P sites in Tatamagouche!) 
  Our website was set up primarily to be a site where the residents of Tatamagouche & the North Shore can stay current and informed about what is going on and what is available locally. We also hope it is interesting to those from 'away' who are checking out our site! 
  We're still 'under construction' & we ask that if you are a local business or organization that we have missed listing, please let us know so we can add you!

Nova Scotia announces transitional rules for the Harmonized Sales Tax.

On April 6, 2010, it was announced in the 2010 Nova Scotia provincial budget that the rate of HST in the province will increase from 13% to 15%. Transitional rules have just been released which outline how this increase will apply to a number of specific situations that straddle the July 1, 2010 implementation date.
